Contributions to UFC are typically tax-deductible, hence your donations may qualify you for tax relief for the fiscal year. In an era where governmental sources of grants are receding, it is imperative that UFC has a base of private donations and contributions to sustain and enhance our current programs. Why Contribute Perhaps you know someone who has been a victim of domestic violence. Maybe you know someone who came from less than ideal familial circumstances and would have appreciated just a little help. Or it's possible you simply witness the growing violence, drug abuse, and abused for children in our community and want to do something to make it stop. The clients and community involved with Universal Family Connection sincerely appreciate contributions to our efforts and programs at any level. Additionally, if you prefer, contributions of over $100 can be earmarked to benefit the costs of a specific program. Our contribution process is quite simple, and you will receive prompt recognition of your contribution that can serve as a receipt for tax deduction purposes. Examples of what your contributions do for our community: | $50 | Purchase a school uniform, accessories, and initial school supplies for a student. |
| | $100 | Contribute to gas costs for our van to transport substance abuse clients to group meetings. |
| | $500 | Potentially cover the costs of two mentor group activities. |
| | $1,000* | Serve as an incentive stipend to employers to consider hiring members of our workforce development program so that they are able to "get their foot into the door". |
| | $5,000* | Serve as a contribution to use at the presidential discretion, for which programs, activities, and costs are most pertinent to the needs of the organization and the community. |
| | $10,000* | Operate a fund to secure temporary shelter for domestic violence victims and their children who may not qualify or for whom there is no space in traditional shelters. |
